Hey Don:

I wonder if there was a general increase of activity around the Ring of Fire during the general 1700-1709 period. I can't envision some sort of plate wide force that would be exclusive to just these two areas. It would seem to me that if a force was plate wide to affect Fuji and Cascadia, then I'd expect to see other symptoms around the northern Ring-o-Fire. Just a thought ....
