Hi Roger,

Like all new things we have to learn to adapt and find that central place that feels comfortable for most people. While Szy serves its purpose in allowing people to make predictions and learn from their successes and failures, it also allows people to learn from others who work with far more refinement.

This board I think is making progress. Each of us have some facet or method in which we try to focus our attention. But details are what makes a prediction or forecast have the necessary refinement to be taken seriously.

What is lacking in almost everything in life is the use of good old common sense. But that comes with educating oneself in knowing some basic background before you jump in. I spend much of my time contemplating the *why* of everything. I have to be satisfied with knowing something is done a particular way because it benefits the greater number, its the most efficient way to resolve a problem or there is no better method yet developed to approach the subject matter.

Ie: in looking at earthquake prediction precursors why are some more reliable at certain times in certain places than otherwise. Why do snakes come out of hiding before some earthquakes than others. I've seen them come out at the wrong time of year before a quake and yet of course at other times they don't act the same way.

Do people act strangely before large earthquakes? In some ways they do. Mostly they are more irritable. Must be the magnetics that makes them feel edgy?

All of this stuff is important when one looks at the whole, but there must be some things that have more weight or value. So now its time to find out which ones they are. More research needed for sure.

Don't worry about the heat on Syz, I'll bet everyone who's ever been there has gotten fried more than once, yours truly as well.

Petra
