Here's another thought, but not being really programming literate, it might not work. So here goes:

What about creating a new field called "Post Predictions". It would have the boxes ready to be completed. If one uses it, it falls into the same strand as any other posted messages. Can you do that?

I would like to see it set up as follows:

Window (start/end)
Time UTC (start/end)
Longitude & Latitude
Name of Closest City or Landmark
Possible magnitude
Percentage of chance
Optional field: Why the predictor thinks its going to happen.

Then a signture box for a nice finish.

If anyone wishes to make a formal prediction it shows up in the prepared box format and if not formal, just a regular post. After that then there's no more question as to whether a post is a prediction or a general forecast.
