Hi Martin. I would give you a "C" for the location. You said 25 miles. It's closer to 40 miles. Now ever as you called it the for North Bay Area I would half to give you an "A+". If you noted the post I made on the creep for the Bay Area you can see why I'm more concerned about the North Bay Area then I have been for considerable time. This 3.1M quake just makes me all that much more concerned. The creep has slowed and to me that indicates that some strain is building in the North Bay Area. Not sure as to why I think it’s the North Bay.

There is some tilt at the southern end of the Hayward fault. As the 3.1M quake appears to be associated with the San Andreas fault I don't think there is any connection between the two. Of course I will have to wait and see if there is going to be an increase in stress and where that increase is at. Take Care…Don in creepy town.
