Re: Rodgers Creek Fault Data.- Tours?

Hi Don,

Great piece. But what he didn't tell you is that we gave a tour yesterday of the RCF and the EQ Trail out in Olema. We may consider giving tours in the future if it catches on. Of course, fault movement at the time of the tour is not guaranteed.

However, it is interesting to tell people when they are standing on top of the San Andreas that slipped 22 ft in a heartbeat, that the land beneath their feet is one day to become an island. Not bad real estate I assure you. Of course at this moment there are no plans for the bridge that will be needed in the future. Does make you wonder where its going to eventually find a permanent home. There's a lot of food for fodder on that one. Could be it drifts up to the triple junction, gets caught by the Gorda Plate and eventually goes underground. Curious for sure.

Thanks Don for that report. You really know how to get the marrow out of the bones. But I'm not worried about the Tolay fault. From what I know, its pretty much considered inactive. (knock wood).

I'm not sure we're ready to invest in a Van or Bus yet, but you have to keep your options open. If its good enough for Watson, its good enough for me.
