Bob,

I didn't get into predicting until after the Northridge 1/17/94 event. Actually, it was a few months after when I discovered that Cal, now deceased, had predicted that quake. It wasn't until sometime around August '94, after several months of monitoring signals, that I decided to start posting predictions on ca.earthquakes (without Cal's permission - he was shocked when I did that). It was sometime around December of 1994 when sci.geo.earthquakes came into being and I started posting predictions there as well and after much ado on those two newsgroups, Alan got involved evaluating predictions. His first analysis of a prediction of mine occurred in January 1995 on sci.geo.earthquakes.

In a post above I had mentioned about getting a new iMAC. Well, when transferring data from one machine to another I screwed up and lost all of my historical data so I can't get specific about dates right now. I tried going to deja news, but they aren't showing any posts prior to May of 1999 right now either. Don't know when they'll get things fixed. I don't even have my old templates anymore that I used for formatting predictions. So its like I'm starting all over again.

I do remember that the first prediction was a miss and was due to twin M3.9's off the Santa Monica coast within seconds of each other where I had called for an M4.0+. That's one of my problems. Separating out signals from multiple events close in space and time.

Your welcome on the "order". Can't wait to check it out. :-)

Dennis
