I think the tone here is pretty good - there's some good discussions going on or debates and that's always healthy. Things have not gotten down to personal assaults.

I don't particularily agree with people needing to acknowledge reading a post (subject of ignoring women's posts) - I would just as soon not see a post that's merely saying 'hear hear' - its a waste of bandwidth and disk space... - it is nice to see comments to a post that forward the conversation. If you are looking for comments please make sure you ask questions or say it in such a way that it invites comments.
