I did manage to take a grade twelve diploma by correspondence, so I have doors open for further study, what is different is that I have educated myself to near university level without incurring a penny of debt in a country that has no free education system, only syudent loans approaching $30,000 a year. Gotta love books and the Internet. I pillaged every library I had access to until the net came along. I was one of the first on the net, using Milnet (now Internet)when I was in the Canadian Armed Forces in the early/mid eighties. I joined the forces at 18 and lived for a while on base in Ft. Lewis Wa. where I took U.S specialized training as a communications expert. I wanted the radio experience to use as a skipper, and have used the skills learned there almost daily. I work in Summers as a tour guide in Tofino touring people by kayak, motorboat and foot to remote wilderness areas in Clayoquot Sound. I was a tennis coach for a while, and have done almost every kind of work that they'd hire me for. I like a wide range of experience to be able to be a Chameleon in all environs. When in Rome-naw, forget it, they don't surf!...mb.
