Talk is Cheap

Why can't predictions made here be more specific??????

What is the big fear with comparison against the earthquake catalogs??????

I would really love to know what this issue really is so it could be addressed. Otherwise, bickering goes on and on and who want's to listen to that?

I'm sorry, but when I keep hearing predictions of this nature, I keep getting the nagging sense that it's not much more than snake oil. I truely want to believe that certain persons can sense earthquakes, or can predict them by some unusual method.

Martin's work seems to have some hint of validity, problem is nobody can quantify it. I'd like to, but the nature of his predictions preclude that sort of analysis. Prove it to me Martin!

I suggest the following criteria to take the snake oil outta of these predictions.

1. Lon/Lat.
2. Distance from this center point.
3. Start of window.
4. Close of window.

Thoughts anybody?
