Canie, you do a good job with this page. I think some progress can be made with short-term prediction, and professional seismologists are under some pressure to make some progress...hence SCEC's earthquake predictability efforts. I also found one of the most interesting predictions on this page, maybe the most interesting, was the purely psychic one for a M6.2 earthquake in "northern California" for a particular hour and minute. The Parkfield M6.0 quake was about 7 hours late. I think his name was Tim and it was his only prediction on this page, and his success seemed to creep him out and he stopped posting soon after. He said he had done such predictions before and I tend to believe him. I may be more open to purely psychic predictions to those that try a physical mechanism that does not make sense and with results that are at best hard to judge.
