Appears that the San Gabriel fault runs along Magic Mountain Parkway to the industrial center which is still very close to those new homes.

Also the epicenter of the Sylmar quake was only a mile SE of the intersection of Soledad and Sand Canyon. Close to my favorite hangout for In-n-out. Now I can understand more easily what a local lady was telling me about this quake. She said she lived in Canyon Country at the time and her house had basically split in two.
