Yup, Mike got what I meant. Usual for south Hawaii would be "normal" because of the collapse of the south part of the Island. But, especially if it is really that deep, it is not a "usual" quake, although the summary of the USGS page said there was a M6.9 decades ago (1951??). I'd still like to know the details of this quake. The day before, heartland wife and I were commenting that there had not been an interesting quake since the M6.0 in the Guld of Mexico, of which I still don't know any details..
