Advisory for So. California
Posted by Dennis Gentry of Santa Clarita on December 27, 2000 at 16:22:31:

I'm not sure if Canie is around to have noticed todays Baja quake, but with that quake we have a good chance of having a likesized or larger quake in the Southern California area.

Additionally, I had picked up a signal last night for an M4.8. Since I'm still in no position to say that a quake will occur in Southern California based on my current methodology, all I can do is give an alert for the possibility of this occurring in Southern California.

Based on the above, if its within the mileage indicated below from Santa Clarita, California:

100 - M4.1 - M5.6
100+ - M4.4 - M5.9

And will be within 10 days of this post.

I'm noticing that this also fits in with Martin's post on 12/23/2000, post number (4146).

It'll be much larger if its outside of Southern California, but I'll leave that part off.

Hopefully, those quakes off the Southern California coast weren't precursors.

Dennis
