Hello Chris,

It just about filled the bill, except being a bit late, and I was looking for something just a little farther south. Distance to this quake was 20.4536 Km, and it was felt. Also;

It was a strike slip, almost pure..

And it was felt..

I see that the Mw has been set at 3.72 magnitude at 5 Km depth. The info page I am seeing says it is still version #1, so I'll wait for some review. That particular area has been hitting for a couple of months. According to the work done by Becky Dorsey (U of Oregon) there is a detachment fault off the southern terminus of the Clark Lake segment of the San Jac. She also shows a NE tending strike slip fault that points into the northern Salton Sea. The NE striking fault is between metamorphic rock and alluvial infill. The metamorphic rock structure is easy to see, and has remnants of the shoreline of Lake Cahuilla clearly visible. I will be out there in the coming weeks. I have a friend who has GPS, and I'll try to get to some of the epis of these and get some pics. Very interesting area.
