You raise a good point. And I totally agree with you. Although I have to say I've been through a couple of light tremors while at work in the corporate world, and that has always been interesting! Most people pause for maybe 5 seconds, then go back to what they were doing...their email, their conversation, their meetings....then there is always the office clown who will run around pretending it was big, and OMG, what are we goign to do, but after a few laughs, even they retreat to their offices and the day goes on. Everyone is so nonchalant I feel like the big dork sneaking a look at the USGS map to see where it was and how big!

I always tell myself, when the big one hits, I WANT to be at work...I imagine it will be somewhat calming as opposed to at home, in the middle of the night in bed!
