Hi Don, Thanks for the commentary, well said. My uptake on the situation is that we are nearing the turning point. In history in explorations of various natures, new avenues are suggested and in time theory becomes accepted fact. Though in geophysical sciences we are often told, the time for serious study and application of theory is short, however, the new wave in computer abilities have sped up the pace as never before in the history of mankind. We have a definite acceleration in accumulation of data, methods to analyze it and form logical conclusions. So, let's not accept our current set of circumstances and put the brakes on to hard. The upcoming new generation of seismologists, geophysicist and computer aided engineers I believe are going to find the Holy Grail of Earthquake Prediction and wave the flag of success when they reach the goal. But how can this be achieved when most are saying it's not possible, and yet in closed circles the opposite is said? It's called the Olive Branch. Today though many study in groups of two's, one day we have to get beyond this and expand the field and bring together those of a common purpose, one that's not for them, but for the benefit of mankind. Neil Armstrong's first step on the Moon heralded a great leap in medical sciences by micro-instruments that now make surgery far less evasive and new techniques are now available as never before. When the great leap into the world of earthquake prediction has its moment in history, not unlike the achievements in medicine that save countless lives everyday, this project will do the same. Give all of use another chance to live another day. May the wheels of time spin faster than ever to reach the goal. Petra
