Guerneville Quake. Rodgers Creek fault

All Hi. I noted earlier today that there was a small quake near Guerneville. I don’t know of any fault in that particular area. The one thing that bothers me about this quake is that like the others it’s near the Rodgers Creek Fault. Everything I have been able to find to date is that the Rodgers Creek fault is locked tight south of Rohnert Park to San Pablo Bay. To my way to thinking the Yountville, Vallejo and most certainly the Rohnert Park quakes and to some extent the Bolinas quake are all related to the stress build up on the Rodgers Creek fault. These areas are weak links in the chain. When there are no more weak links the Rodgers Creek fault will rupture.

This fault is felt by most to able to produce up to a magnitude 7.1 quake. In the past Petra has taken me to what she calls her “study area.” From what I have seen there have been some pretty impressive quakes in the past. When tracing the fault I found that it passes though many towns and cuts across many main highways and roads. A large quake in the southern part of the fault could for all purpose and intent isolate everything in the immediate surrounding area. Take Care…Don in creepy town.
