I am a co-cooddinator for a workshop to be held next week...and I give a short presentation on Wednesday. Last Saturday on partial vacation in Rhode Island we were talking about doing a night sail on the little motorless day-sailer...I have a flashlight with red on one side and green on the other...for a boat this size it is enough to make it legal to sail at night. Naturally, at least for my friends and family, I thought I would apply the suction cup to my forehead so as to show off the light...at dinner...lobsters and swordfish. I forgot that I take blood thinners and so bruise easily and the bruise lasts a long time. So, I have a purple round spot about 5 cm across on the middle of my forehead. Naturally, for my friends and family, we discussed how to deal with this if it was still prominent for my presentation. The best was that I would talk and then if I received a question I would hesitate for a minute and then say..."wait, let me consult my third eye". It was also suggested that as I walked over to give my talk I pretend to bang my head on the wall. The other was to just give the talk with the red/green light attached to my forehead. With all you scientifically-minded people perhaps you could suggest better....
