Hi Chris - Yes, I also read State of Fear and found the concept interesting. It did not change my thinking on Global warming as I have yet to be convinced we humans are having that much of an effect (such as shown by the numbers on that web site) - I have also heard lectures from other scientists who also share my point of view. (or the reality is I share their point of view) I do think humans are destroying this planet at an alarming rate, but I don't think Global Warming is the method of our destruction - more along the lines of humans causing extinctions, deforestation, soil erosion, pollution and just plain lack of respect for our planet. We'll probably kill each other off long before we have an emergency with the weather.. On another note, I find paleo climatology quite interesting - I attended an annual conference for about 5 years as a volunteer on the logistics - and attended all the presentations - Pacific Climate Conference (PACLIM) - I found all the info quite fascinating. Info from past years used to be available on their website, but it looks like it's been moved.. Canie
