"L" is simply the next letter after "K". It's a verison number, like in software. First comes verison 1, then version 2, etc.... The initial automated report is version "A". Subsequent revisions of the data are given a new version number, "B", "C", etc.... I woudl suspect that version "L" simply means that the data has been looked at 12 times, for whatever reason.
