Jane...I did not see that report, although I may have seen something about glacier melt and EQs earlier. In an area of thrust faults removing a glacier from above the fault will make the fault fail sooner. I don't know why permafrost melting would do anything...do you know? The quakes along the Aleutians lately probably have nothing to do with this....still no M6s in the world...seems like a long interval...I think they occur on average every 2 days or so.
OK...a prediction: when the first M6 quake occurs, there will be at least one other within 6 hours afterwards somewhere in the world.
