Jane, it would be nice for someone to plot the locations of the Rat Island quakes and now the Andreanof Islands quakes on a map...there are only a 3 or 4 degrees of longitude apart, and at that latitude, a degree of longitude is 70 km rather than 111 km at the equator. It would be interesting for someone to investigate the known history of M7 quakes there...for example, when did the section in between these 2 areas last fail in subduction? How big a quake (how many meters of modeled slip?).
