I have been watching - and sometimes feeling,along with my dogs, kids and friends - quakes at Fillmore all day long. The dogs go off, the house creaks a little and I check the clock. Now these are little ones that we feel - between 2.5 and 2.8, and USGS says that these are aftershocks from the 3.9 the other day. A very healthy aftershock series, I might add. How do we tell when it is a series of aftershocks as opposed to a series of foreshocks, anyway? These are from today alone:
