Now, I know a lot of scientists poo-poo the idea of volcanism and seismic activity thousands of miles apart, but I don't. Geologically (and geographically), the distance just isn't that great in the grand scheme of things, and earthquakes and volcanos are just little blips, that we know of, on earth's radar screen.

Okay, that was not the most graceful of sentences, but it is almost midnight and I am on Percocet for a fractured tail bone, so I am not going to rewrite it. I hope you all get my point.

Joan, I'm so sorry you had to go through those back-to-back events. Frankly, I don't know how you could have taken a nap, even with four Bloody Marys. After Sylmar, I couldn't get decent sleep for weeks.
