If someone known only through email sent me that message, I'd distrust the sender's motive and delete the email. But if caring friends or relatives present evidence to me personally, if alert enough to do so I'll ask my primary care physician for referral to a specialist for an evaluation. If confusion, cost, health insurance protocol, or transportation cause a friend to avoid or postpone treatment, offering to accompany him or her to an appointment sometimes helps. -Mary C.
