How remarkable! I was doing exactly the same thing for the earthquake center in Golden some years back, using almost identical methods!

My database included all quakes in the PDE from 1900 on, divided into 10 degree squares globally. I had also defined states and country boundaries and could do circle and rectangle searches.

When I left, I took the database with me and recently updated it to run on a PC with graphic windows. Works really well and can be upodated from the NEIC files.

Good luck here. My project was killed because the new Branch Chief thought it was a waste of time. He didn't understand the importance of a verified history of predictors and their success. The people in this website aren't too interested in evaluation. I wonder why?!
