Annualized statistics don't say much

What I would like to see is how many deaths per occurrence.

Say that in 1 year you have 20 floods that killed a total of 10,000 people and 5 earthquakes that killed a total of 3,000 people.

floods 500 deaths per occurrence
quakes 600 deaths per occurrence

But then we'd have to determine what size of flood and or quake we'd want to limit the statistics to etc. etc. etc.

Its all in how you put the numbers together and what you want those numbers to say.
