This predictive method was simply a demonstration in the most simple form to show that even on a piece of home brew equipment earthquakes can be predicted. Evidence does exist which supports 7.0 or greater earthquakes around the world are measured by simple devices in advance of them, so as to how all of these things are missed time and again is puzzling. This same piece of equipment in a country close to the 9.3 Indonesia quake had a dramatic change prior to that earthquake the day before and I suspect if there had been modern equipment on site it would have detected some change prior to the earthquake. Or at least I would hope so.

As Roger and I agreed I would only do this one demonstration this time, though I do think it is rather fun to see what happens, but I'll keep the fun side of it to myself in the future.
