That's not really fair. You have to set the personality aside and understand he's making a prediction, plain and simple and if he's wrong he's going to pay a high price for it too. If someone said that God told him and the event never materializes the faithful won't be so faithful anymore. It could be the end of his life in the ministry. He has to be very serious to be willing to gamble with that. I need to disagree here - he wins either way - if it happens or not... if it doesn't, it's due to " his prayers and the prayers of the faithful for the mercy of god, " etc..... He wins either way and has nothing to lose, and only lots of $$ to gain...actually it might be a brilliant move on his part..
