John and Marc are right.

A good example of what Marc is saying comes from Chris' post in Cathryn's thread about spelling and grammar. In his post he manages to offend conservatives and Christians without using a single profane word.

To me, thats embodies free speech so much more than the simple ability to debase yourself with foul language. Personaly, I don't think our founding fathers really put their fortunes and lives on the line for our inalienable right to say "f***".
