The event was well underway by 3am when I arrived. I had to leave my house at 1 o'clock to get there on time and the formal program began at 4am. There was much going on during that time and I was doing newspaper interviews then. So if you showed up at 5:12 you would have been hard pressed to get there. All of the streets were blocked off so we could all walk around and there was a parade after. I didn't walk in the parade because I was to tired. I went 36 hours without sleeping just to be able to be there and I'm glad I did.

Did you know that twice before there have been earthquakes 100 years apart from the San Andreas affecting this region? So another can happen at any time.
