Just use a little common sense...errr...quake sense? I mean, most of us here knwo more than the average person about earthquakes, and most have felt a few good sized ones. Ask yourself how far a 6 or a 7 would be felt in California?

There's several examples on record already. The San Simeon quake was a 6.5 and look how far that was felt. I felt it down here south of LA. The felt report map goes from north of SF down to SD.
