Hi All. There has been a slight increase in quake activity at Mammoth Lakes. This is to be expected with the current level of solar activity. This will last a couple more days and I do not expect anything above 3.5Ml. For the most part the Mammoth Lakes area is quiet. I don’t know how long this will last, but feel that it will last until the first part of Nov. not counting any strong geomagnetic storms that may impact the area. Lake Pillsbury on the other hand may have a couple of good jolts the next couple of days. There could be a quake up to 3.8Md for that area between now and the 22nd. The reason being is that this is a young area and is still growing so for the most part the area in unstable. The Geyser area is always good for one or two 3.0Md + during any solar activity. At least that’s the way it has been in the past. Take Care…Don in creepy town.
