I'm in the worst place to observe animal behavior and earthquake precursors. The San Jacinto fault rumbles 24/7. I have seen a herd of cattle stampede over a few heel flys though. Seen cattle go nuts over a fresh cracked bail of oat hay too. But that cockateel incident was different. I think it was feeling the quake before we did. Like a canary in a coal mine.
