Conjunctive Quake

Howdy Mike,

I should have used the term "conjunctive" or coincidental to better describe what I meant. You are right, in that a large quake in the MTJ would not produce the stress change to trigger Salton Sea. So I am looking for a much larger mechanism which involves the west coast. If the MTJ strains, can we also expect a strain in the Imperial Valley? This on a tectonic level. Even if such a strain pattern is found, was it caused by the Cholame or San Fransico quakes? All conjecture, but an interesting possibility. I'll work on the dates a bit more.
