Me again...maybe Im posting too much these days and perhaps I should shut up, but I find this to be very interesting and I think its all healthy discourse. So, at least one more posting....

John, as I read your posting, yet another question occured to me. The energy that Petra claims is causing the ear tone would be infintesimaly small compared to the energy released in an earthquake. If the same rules applied to the eq energy as the ear tone theory ascribes to the "sound" wave, then it is it fair to imagine that every quake should be felt in a much wider area than they truly are?

I dont even know if I am asking this in a way that makes sense. What Im trying to get at is the idea that if someone in San Francisco could hear a gnat buzzing in Mexico, then wouldn't they go deaf from a jet leaving Orange County?
