It seems as though I also agree with Alan. I thank him over many years of trying to fit the quake into the window....which most often did not work in my case. I demure to Dennis' proprietary techniques, although this is the first I have read about the failure rate following such a success. I was off of sci.geo.eq for a few years making a transition to a new location.
I don't think I will be much of a test subject up here in WA. Reason is that it is my believe that the ELF-ULF wave changes I felt were so long in length that they did/do not transmit as far as my present location. This was pointed out to me by Richard Stead a year before I left....so that leaves me testing an area which is relatively sparse when it comes to any precursor activity which I once felt while living in the belly of the beast.....
I will and do sometimes put out a prediction since moving from Mendocino in September of 1995, but the hit rate was and remains very low. I figure that is because I am trying a new method of reading patterns (or that which I perceive as patterns) in the lists of anything over 0.1M and calling certain areas, marker quakes. I then put that together with what very little I can sense from up here at 49 North and give it a shot...So far...So bad....and its been 5 years now....Jane and the kids like it here so I do not think I'll be a moving test subject:-), though I will continue to try out new alternatives from time to time.
I also welcome you back Alan. It has been a while and you have been tenacious if not patient with us over the years.....Also thanks to "Petra" for her notion to give this a test.....

Bob Shannon Pinpoint since 1992
