Depth of EQ at Lake Eliz

I just noticed the unusual depth (and the too close to the San Andreas location) of the quake below near Lake Elizabeth -83 km! I thought that the crust in southern California was not very thick and I've never heard of a depth like that around here. Anybody else? Beth
