$20/yr to post I just checked his website. According to the stats listed there the posts were made by 144 users. 144x20 = 2,880 dollars per year. I have a real hard time believing his website costs that much to run. And who knows how may subscribers there are? But, it boils down to about $3.33 per newsletter. According to his own website it averages 8 pages. If this is just a simple B&W laser printed job that's taken to Kinko's to be copied....I'm sorry, it don't cost that much to make them. (BTW, I've had some experience with publishing a small format magazine, so I know what professional printing costs are like) And what about the royalties for his new book? Do you have to have a license to teach a geology class? The predictions themselves may be free, but he profits from the notoriety the predictions generate.
