Most would rather not show any concern for earthquakes, it shows some sort of weakness I guess. Even here in Tofino B.C.,where there is a Tsunami hazard, the attitude "If it happens it happens"is still prevalent. They all seem happy to have a local Tsunami Watchdog around though...I'd like to challenge those with the funding(USGS etc) to predict a quake or prove that we cannot...mb.
