When I say significant I mean it in a statistical sense. That is to say, the score achieved in a series of trials is higher than some expected level, such that the results are not likely to be due to chance.

I use the 99% level because I want a stringent test.

But you can't say anything about single predictions because any odds can be beaten by chance.

Others use significance to mean important to someone for some reason.
