Yeah - that's the area I'm talking about. But, it seems that the San Andreas Fault runs directly adjacent to urban areas, despite the relatively remote location; especially the bend near the north Los Angeles County region.

Anyway, thanks for the information. One of my favorite things is reading about the old accounts and observations of earthquakes from days gone by.
