Re: Gulf Of Mexico Quake Might Not Have Been A Quake |
"Hi Brian. If you want to use the material, be my guest." Thank's Don. Done. Also, for everyone who is interested, I've made a 30 second animation that takes one on a 3D tour of the ocean floor along the northern gulf coast. It shows quite nicely all the "pockmarks" I was talking about. The animation is about 1.2 megs, 512x218 (2.35:1 anamorphic, just like at the movies!) You will have to save it to your computer to play it. It won't open in a browser. *BUT*, before you can view it, you'll have to download and install the XviD codec. Once installed, the AVI should play in your favorite viewer just fine. It definately works in the plain old Windows Media Player. Sorry for the need for the new codec, but it's amazingly good. I tried others, but unless I made the file size at least three times bigger, it started looking like a video phone movie. XviD is a free, open source project. It's so good you can compress a DVD quality movie to fit on a regular CD. Installation is painless. Get the codec here: Animation: Enjoy!
