A couple of things.....I have known Dennis since the begining of the internet EQ prediction business, when he was still associated with another EQ predictor who at the time was Dennis "mentor", I think---correct me if I am wrong Dennis....Anyway---the way Dennis puts his statements such as "primary indicators" and "secondary indicators" doesn't, I think, indicate he actually uses instruments as a whole. Hmmm...well he may use some but then add other things into the mix. I like Dennis a lot....he has truly taught me, but he will not get up off of the proprietary ideas and I frankly don't blame him. Once he says what he is doing to get his predictions down, he opens himself to all sorts of renewed criticism and arguement...and having read his posts in defense of himself over the years, I cannot say as I blame him one bit for not wanting to get into that arena again...Geese talk about run-on sentence...

I do in fact use to instruments...one is a simple device which senses and records changes in the geomafgnetic field. I built it for about 10 bucks using Ray Cole design. Ray not being Jack Cole...Ray was an octagenarian from Missouri. I also use Pinpoint. This is the software program I wrote in 1992. At first it did nothing more than Alan Jones Seismic, but then I added a method of discovering what I called marker quakes and putting them into a pattern. It sort of sifts through the lists which are input from raw data and then uses a model I designed to separate specific quakes by their unusual location, or magnitude or depth. That program still works today, but the Geomag Indicator is bouncing off the wall up here and registering every small solar wind that comes in...At Fort bragg latitude I did not have this problem and am assuming the reaction is because of my close proximity to incoming solar.
I take the above and input my own feelings and stress...This last time I input some of Charles work but after the fact unfortunately...One of these days I'll explain how Alto Concentric works to a degree and why I miss many times with it due to relocation.

I agree that we all do dif things....charlotte King had a problem with that. She insisted that everyone reacted the same.....IMHO simply not true....but I still have respect for the way she does it.....Canie is becoming a good geologist:-) and I agree that she works on hunches which are well placed!
