Though I agree with you about the MJT, I think looking at the long range picture, Lassen Volcano may be in the making of recapturing its 1915 eruption.

With the subduction activity apparent inland from the MJT, it might be time for the volcanics to start having those harmonic conversations. Who knows, Shasta or Cindercone, may well wish to talk as well.
