To get on a different subject

Just out of curiousity I had done a yahoo search on my name and came across a web site that had used one of my posts from sci.geo.earthquakes when we were discussing plate tectonics. So browsing around this site, I found a page where they talk about earthquake prediction which presented some interesting stuff. Down at the bottom of the page is a link for data which contains another link to my reference.

One thing that I wasn't aware about was that on 4/21/99 a bill was passed by Congress for providing funds for earthquake prediction along with many other things. Since I hadn't heard anything about this I looked on the Senate side to see if there was anything there and couldn't find anything. So I'm not sure if this went all the way through or not. Maybe it doesn't have to. At any rate, I wrote my congressman Howard "Buck" McKeon as to what the status is/was. I'm still waiting for an answer but will share it when I get it.

Link is below.
