Thanks. I was randomly using a collective figure against something without paying attention to the math. I guess what I'll alluding to is this thing (of which I've heard) called a slow earthquake or where there is steady movement over an extended period of time.

For example, once I read a story about Earth movement that took place over several months, but would have beent he equivalent of a 6.0 had the time frame been compressed. Are there such things?
