Hi Cathryn. I think the next major quake will be on the Rodgers Creek fault. David Schwartz of the USGS in Menlo Park stated that the faults have to fail because they have all failed in the past. We might have 1 or 2 or 3 years. We don’t have 10, 15 or 30. Trenching shows there is a quake on the fault about once every 250 years. It is estimated that the last quake occurred between 1730 and 1760. The most probable location for that quake was near the northern end of the fault. That would make it in the Santa Rosa, Healdsburg area. The rupture length was about 65Km (40 miles).
