Hi all! The following result is availale in IMD site which is very closely coincide with my prediction: 12/01/2006 19:29:52.3 HRS(IST) 3.0M 18.3°N 76.7°E LATUR, MAHARASHTRA
It is interesting that though the predcursor normally indicated that the magnitude of such quakes was around 5 to 6M. I believe that the rock elasticity around Latur is intact so that the magnitude was not touched to the expected level. Considering the above, I gave the expected magnitude as around 3 to 4M in my prediction note.
Suspect similar quakes over the area within a couple of days again as per the precursors obtained in the last few days. If the rock elasticity was weekend due to the above quake, chances of increasing magnitude over the place may not be ruled out. Regarding the strong quake expected over Gujarat as predicted with 50% probability may be ended with 3 to 4M quake as per the recent readings.
Let us watch. Shan
