Porttugal/St. Vincent's Ridge

Two quakes within the last 2 weeks on or near the St. Vincent Ridge region to the west of Portugal. I haven't seen any real activity there in many years (but then again--my memory ain't what it once was!)

Just noting these quakes. Portugal had a whopper in 1755 that destroyed Lisbon and killed many.

I'm always interested when quakes turn up in a "quiet" area. I remember this for a few months prior to the San Simeon Quake, but didn't make anything out of it.

Anyway...just my daily musing on the World Earthquake Map!
